Your Hometown Vet in Garner for Over 50 Years
Garner Animal Hospital was established in 1962 by Dr. W.C. Marlatt. At that time, Highway 70 was just a two-lane road and “Doc” was the only vet around Garner! When he was ready to retire in 2008, he approached Dr. Sherri Edwards to take over, as he knew in her hands Garner Animal Hospital would flourish. Doc had worked with Dr. Edwards and saw that she was the “small-town, down-to-earth” vet that Garner Animal Hospital needed.
In 2008, Dr. Sherri Edwards bought and took over Garner Animal Hospital. She brought life back into the practice. Our practice is built on teamwork and mutual respect. We have a very loyal client base. There are clients who drive all the way to Garner from Greensboro, Youngsville, Benson and all in between. They all have to pass numerous other animal hospitals on the way to see us. We are compassionate, caring, honest and loving, and our clients can see that.
Animal hospitals come and go. They change ownerships, locations, doctors and staff. But not us! Since 1962, Garner Animal Hospital has been in the same building and there have only been two owners. We may not have a state-of-the-art facility, but we do have state-of-the-art care for our patients and clients.
Our goal is simple – to provide the best possible care for our patients and their people. We work as a team to ensure that our clients are happy with the service we provide to their furry family members.
